Dealing with root discoloration

Help with my dwc setup, the plants are still growing, but the roots on a couple of them are starting to have like a light tan, I dont think its full blown root rot yet cos they're not smelly or mushy, its just the discloration that's got me concerned, I've been monitoring this thing like a new born and the water temps have been hovering around 70°F, with pH holding steady at 5.8, and I've been using hydroguard as a preventative. The plants look fine up top but root issues can be sneaky, could this probably be a nutrient stain or early signs of something else below the surface, how do I handle this, I'm kinda new to this

Sounds like nutrient stains since there's no smell or slime, and the roots feel okay. Your temps, pH, and what you're using for Hydroguard are good. When you change things out next, try a quick rinse to be sure. How often do you swap your reservoir? Keeping it clean can also help.
