Hi, relative beginner here, I have a couple of systems running, both supplied from the same reservoir, which has an air pump with 2 tubes and stones squirting bubbles into it.
I'm about to set up a pair of larger units sharing another reservoir, these will drop the return nutrient solution into the reservoir from about 20cm in free air, so cause a good old splash (this is outdoors by the way).
I'm wondering if this would infuse a reasonable amount of air into the tank by itself, and so save me the bother of an extra mains supply, buying another air pump etc.
Not that either of those are a problem but if there's no need due to the constant disturbance on the surface from 2 outlets then I'd prefer not to - though if unsure I'll go for the air pump anyway just for the hell of it.
Advice appreciated, thanks,
Chris
