Bolting lettuce

I’m growing some romaine in a hydro setup and my monitor said the conditions were okay good temp, good humidity. But my lettuce still bolted way too early.

Maybe the lights were on too long? Not sure what went wrong. Anyone else dealing with heat stress in leafy greens? What works for you? I'm all ears!

Hey there! Welcome to the forum! Yeah, bolting can be sneaky even when your readings look fine. I had a similar issue with butter lettuce last spring. My temps were okay on paper but the lights were running 18+ hours and the root zone was warmer than I realized. Dropping light hours to 14 and adding a fan near the base helped a lot. Sometimes it’s not just air temp, try checking water temp too. Let's see what the others can suggest!
