How do you keep the molds out of hydro pods?

Mold showed up in one of my seed pods again, and I’m ready to toss the whole batch. The baskets and domes are fine, but the rest feels like a rip-off. Anyone have tricks to keep mold away, or do you just build your own pods? Appreciate any input!

oh man, I know how annoying that is. what I do is to clean the system regularly, also control humidity, making sure there's a good airflow, and remove dead plant material.
blocking the light from reaching the water is also important. use aluminum foil, sticker labels, or custom made covers to block the light from entering any gaps around the plants
