I'm halfway through my second RDWC grow, and just like the first, I'm getting thick, healthy leaves but slow flower growth. The first run was Green Crack photo, now it's Wedding Cake auto. Both had great conditions. I'm thinking of switching nutrients next time, maybe MILLS, has anyone had better luck with RDWC?
Is RDWC really worth it?

Thick and healthy leaves means the environment is good, so you're probably right about the nutrients. MILLS should help. I'd also recommend monitoring the ph levels not to drift too much from the preferred range.

If your plants are dark green and leaves point up like Jesus to the sky, you give it to much Nitrogen.
If the plant look normal and good in colour but bud want explode, check the air flow in ? test it by keeping a opening open for a day so loads of air can flow in.

Hve you noticed any specific changes with different nutrient brands during your grows?
From my experience, RDWC can be great if the environmental parameters are dialed in. The root zone stays oxygenated and you get steady nutrient availability. I agree that nutrient choice makes a difference. I had similar sluggish flowering until I switched to a different nutrient line. I ended up using some of the stuff from BrandMyDispo that a friend recommended, and my Wedding Cake seemed happier. I've stuck with them since because it's easy to keep pH in range. That said, it's still important to keep water temps low and to monitor EC. RDWC systems are a bit more hands-on, but the yields can be impressive when everything is balanced.
