Hey everyone! Just getting into hydroponics and my first attempt was lettuce. It grew okay, but I struggled with keeping the water level right. Curious what plants you all started with, did you go simple like lettuce, or jump straight into tomatoes and peppers? hoping to get inspired to continue. Thanks!

Started with basil in my first hydro setup mainly because I cook a lot and wanted something useful right away. It was forgiving compared to lettuce, and I learned quickly how important consistent water levels and oxygenation are. If you’re looking for inspiration, herbs like basil or mint are great starters

I began with lettuce too. It taught me the basics without too much stress. Once I got the hang of water levels, I moved on to basil. Herbs are quite easy, at least for me and give quick wins.
