Messed up my DWC grow

Hey all, I've been runnin' a DWC/SCROG mix under a 250 HPS and had one good run, but this latest batch took a nosedive. Tried startin' the clones under a TS600, overfed 'em bad, and missed some airline issues. Roots are lookin' yellow now. Gave hydrogen peroxide a whirl, but not sure it's saved 'em. Think it's time to bail and restart with new clones? Got a cousin who's always offerin' me cuttings might give him a call.

Yeah man, yellow roots and overfeeding that early usually means you can't save them anymore. If nothing happened after the peroxide, it might be better to restart with new clones. Sometimes a reset saves you more time and energy than going on full rehabilitation when it's not really salvageable anymore.

Pfft that's what I was afraid of but I appreciate the honest advice. I will clean the buckets out later and call my cousin about those new clones. A tough lesson to learn, for sure.

@sixth circle I completely agree... Once the roots go south like that, it's usually game over. A clean restart with fresh cuts sounds way less painful than trying to nurse them back. It's hard, yes, but @$piteCompetitive you'll get over it.

The restart was the right call. My cousin's new cuttings have been in the system a few weeks and are thrivin' this time 'round. Am bein' extra cautious with nutrients. What's your PPM target for the 1st week when clones go into buckets?

The yellow roots in DWC often mean the plants are stressed from low oxygen or early root rot. It is more efficient to start fresh with healthy clones and a clean system rather than spend weeks nursing plants that may not reach their potential.

Thanks for weighin' in on the yellow roots issue, @jm00re02. The restart I did back in August was the right move and the new plants have completely filled out my screen. They look healthy and I'm gettin' ready to transition them to a 12/12 cycle. When you switch to flower, do you change your PPM target all at once or taper it up over a few days?
